In this first weeks of my A2 I have spent a lot of time analysing and reviewing previously existing music videos. Looking at other videos helped me understand which style and variety of product I wanted to create in such a wide range of music videos. I’ve also analysed several student’s videos and blogs and this furthered my understanding in how the course is marked and how I can achieve the highest grade for my work. This week I also wrote a response to the brief and outlined the resources I have access to. This way I can easily recall what is available to me and let this influence the direction of my video.
Next week I hope to continue to analyse and write blog posts about already existing music videos in ordert to draw inspiration and ideas and further develop my own music video. I hope to also do this in more detail by analysing aspects such camera work, mise en scene, progression and song.
